Shelter Pet Saturday brought to you by Pitbull Tobacco & More

Meet Lucky Strike, a 9-year-old Beagle currently looking for a new adventure at the Portsmouth Humane Society.

Lucky Strike’s story is a bit of a mystery since he came in as a stray. But hey, who needs a detailed backstory when you’ve got those soulful Beagle eyes and a laid-back attitude? Lucky Strike is all about taking life in stride, except when there are treats involved. Yep, you guessed it – he’s a Beagle with a nose for goodies!

Now, here’s where we can all lend a paw. Lucky Strike needs surgery to have his eye removed, and any support would mean the world to him. If you’re unable to adopt but still want to make a difference, consider donating to his medical fund at portsmouthhumanesociety.org. Every little bit helps, and together, we can ensure Lucky Strike is pain-free and ready for his next chapter.

For those who can spare some time and love, Portsmouth Humane Society is also on the lookout for volunteers for their Paws Around P-Town program. It’s a fantastic opportunity to give shelter dogs, like Lucky Strike, a break from the routine. Swing by the shelter, pick up a furry friend, and embark on a day of fun – whether it’s a leisurely walk or a visit to a dog-friendly restaurant, these outings make a world of difference to our four-legged buddies.
