Pink Pauses Australian Concert After Woman Goes Into Labor
Pink’s current Summer Carnival stadium tour landed in Sydney, Australia on Friday — where the singer had to pause the show after a woman went into labor. The singer riffed onstage as paramedics helped escort the mom-to-be out of the venue. “Is it Alecia or Alex being born?” she joked (her real name is Alecia Beth Moore). “I feel like we shouldn’t be looking. Everyone give her her privacy!”
Pink went on: “Wow, ‘Our Song,’ that was the one that did it? “Wouldn’t have called that one! I thought it would’ve been ‘Get The Party Started’ or ‘Never Not Gonna Dance Again.’”
She then congratulated the woman, saying: “That’s exciting! I don’t even know what to say. But we have to sing now. Good luck! It’s gonna be great! You’re gonna do great.”
