Winnie the Pooch Seeks Loving Home at Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter

Shelter Pet Saturday from Pitbull Tobacco & More.

Winnie the Pooch is currently available for adoption or foster from Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter. At 4 years young and a staff/volunteer shelter favorite, Winnie is a true treasure. Once you have her heart, she’s incredibly generous in showing her love with plenty of tail wags and slurps! Winnie is a bit shy at first but is oh so sweet and warms up quickly, especially when people speak gently to her.

Once she knows you, Winnie is happy to greet you at her kennel door with her little nub tail wagging as fast as she can wiggle it. She always puts her best paw forward with her pals. Winnie is very house-trained, knows basic commands, and is an easy walk on the leash. She’s happy to keep her friends company and enjoys a good sniff outside so she can let the sunshine hit her snout.

Winnie has done well with other dogs and enjoys being playful with her puppy dog pals. Although not required, Winnie would love for her future forever family to have a dog buddy. She would also appreciate someone who would spend time getting to know her and allowing her to tag along on their adventures.

Winnie is hoping to land a spot outside of the shelter, even if it means she has to wait for a loving family in a foster home. The shelter’s foster program is totally free- they supply all of the food, toys, crates, medical, etc. All the fosters need to provide is the love and the home!
