Billy Joel fans were not happy when CBS cut short his performance of ‘Piano Man’ on Sunday.  The performance was part of the special, Billy Joel: The 100th – Live at Madison Square Garden.

The special started late due to the airing of the Masters and then in the final minutes — when Joel was singing his beloved “Piano Man” — the concert abruptly ended in some markets, including here in Hampton Roads.

WTKR shared that the issue was “beyond their control” and happened on a national level.

Due to the overwhelming demand from his legion of fans, Billy Joel: The 100th – Live at Madison Square Garden will be rebroadcast in its entirety on CBS on April 19th at 9:00PM ET/PT.”
