While filming a video on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville Tuesday night, Jon Bon Jovi became an unexpected hero.
Bon Jovi and his team were setting up for a video or photo shoot when the singer noticed a woman standing by the edge of the Cumberland River, appearing to be in distress. Footage from the local police department shows Bon Jovi approaching the woman with another person, while his team remains a bit further back. The singer waves hello and casually leans on the railing near her. After a brief conversation, the woman and the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer share an embrace and walk away from the ledge together, joined by the other woman.
The chief of the Metro Nashville Police Department praised Bon Jovi’s actions, saying, “A shout out to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. It takes all of us to help keep each other safe.”
