Miley Cyrus Heckled By Fans at Film Premiere Who “Thought It Was a Concert”

On Friday night, Miley Cyrus debuted her highly anticipated visual album, Something Beautiful at the Tribeca Film Festival, but the event didn’t go quite as planned—at least for some fans in the audience.

Held in classic film festival fashion, the event featured a screening followed by a Q&A session with Miley. But it quickly became clear that not everyone in the crowd understood the concept. Fans began shouting at Miley to sing, interrupting the conversation with demands for a performance.

One woman reportedly yelled, “We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!” Another asked point-blank, “Are you actually gonna sing?”

When someone else in the audience requested “The Climb,” she replied, “You have to start it” and the led the crowd in a sing-a-long.

After the event, some of the frustrated fans explained that they had bought their tickets through resale sites, where the event was billed as a concert, not a film premiere.
