Lewis Capaldi Announces Comeback Tour Following Powerful Glastonbury Return

Lewis Capaldi is officially back! Following his emotional return to Glastonbury and the release of his heartfelt new single “Survive,” the Scottish singer-songwriter has announced his first major tour since stepping away from the spotlight in 2023. The upcoming tour kicks off this September with 10 shows across the U.K. and Ireland, including two nights at London’s iconic O2 Arena.

Capaldi’s new single, “Survive,” dropped on June 27 and marks a bold and deeply personal chapter in his career. According to Capitol Records, the track is “a bold, brave anthem” that reflects on the struggles Capaldi has faced, particularly during his Glastonbury 2023 performance—an unforgettable moment when the Pyramid Stage crowd helped him finish “Someone You Loved” as he struggled with tics from Tourette’s Syndrome.

Diagnosed with the neurological disorder in 2022, Capaldi made the difficult decision to take a break from touring last year to focus on his mental health. In May, he played a few small shows in Scotland in partnership with the mental health charity CALM, which paved the way for his triumphant return to Glastonbury this summer—this time, as a surprise guest.

His Glastonbury set featured the debut performance of “Survive,” as well as a powerful rendition of his chart-topping hit “Someone You Loved.”

The 2024 tour begins September 7 at Utilita Arena in Sheffield, with stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin, and more. Fans can register for pre-sale access now, with tickets becoming available Tuesday, July 8 at 9 a.m.

Capaldi shared the news with a signature touch of humor and humility, posting:
“about time I got back to work… hope to see you out there.”
