Netflix is finally cracking down on password sharing.
Subscribers across the United States recently received email reminders that “Netflix account is for you and the people you live with — your household” while insisting “you can share your Netflix account with someone who doesn’t live with you for $7.99/month more.”
Well, Blockbuster tweeted a hilariously tongue-in-cheek response to the update saying, “A friendly reminder that when you used to rent videos from us. We didn’t care who you shared it with… As long as you returned it on time.”

Of course, Netflix seemingly put Blockbuster almost entirely out of business (one lone location still exists in Oregon).
They weren’t the only streaming giant to take a stab at Netflix, Amazon Prime UK shares a poorly aged tweet from 2017 when Netflix said “Love is sharing a password.”
